Release and Content We've just received news that the next Pokémon TCG set, Scarlet & Violet - Stellar Crown, will be released on September 13, 2024! This set is expected to contain over 170 cards, including more than a dozen new Pokémon ex, new ACE SPEC cards, 20 trainer cards, and 30 cards with special illustrations. With a focus on Terrastalized Pokemon, we can look forward to amazing artwork from the special illustrations. Check out some of the cards we've already previewed in our Stellar Miracle Spoilers blog!
New Pokémon ex and Stellar Tera Pokémon As usual with each new set, we can expect many new Pokémon ex! We already know that Cinderace ex, Lapras ex, Galvantula ex and Terapagos ex will be included, as they grace the pack design (Terapagos ex was already revealed in Stellar Miracle).
The most exciting thing about this set is the introduction of Stellar Tera Pokémon, which have powerful attacks that require different types of energy - three to be exact. Each attack is inspired by different gems, such as Terapagos ex's "Crown Opal" or "Larimar Rain" from Lapras ex.
These attacks are reminiscent of Crystal Pokémon from the e-Series but without a special mechanic tag, making them unable to be affected by cards or effects outside of their Tera tag. You'll recognize these cards by their rainbow colored edges and almost opalescent backgrounds!
